It's a legitimate jailbreak. Just make sure to uncheck the option to include the extra Chinese pirating app

I never noticed that option when installing the jailbreak, however I don't think it installed anything aside from cydia.

The new link to the jailbreak no longer has that check mark option. There is also an English version I used on my iPad.

I haven't encountered any issue with the jailbreak and I first did it back when I had to use Google Translate to get through the Chinese.
