UI/software version differences

My wife and I both have iPhones and both have the most recent version of Facebook installed. But, on my phone the user interface looks different than hers. At the bottom of the screen on hers is the Facebook “F” logo that serves as a button to other menu options. Any idea why it’s different than mine although we both have the most recent version installed..??

I thought that might be the case just wasn’t sure how they only make it available to certain people.
