Hello,
I’m looking for a decent dual monitor setup for my mid-2015 MacBook Pro retina (integrated graphics card). I prefer to daisy chain the two displays such that I only use up one port on my laptop. Is this possible? I’ve read articles that contradict. I prefer 4K if possible. I’ve read that the daisy chaining is possible, but that the monitor must have both a DisplayPort 1.2 input and output.
However, I am also open to a single, larger monitor / TV if the setup is better (36-42”). I have also looked at the Thunderbolt 2 dock by OWC. If I went that route, it looks like one monitor would connect via HDMI and the other via a DisplayPort.
I’d prefer to stay in the $200-300 range for each monitor, or a little more if it is a single, larger monitor.
I’m also interested in using the same setup with my Work laptop which is a 2017 Dell Latitude E7470. Obviously I may need different cables for this latter setup
Any and all feedback is appreciated!
Thanks,
Bryan
