Currently I am living in Seoul. I study here as an exchange student, and I have recently attended a G-NEXT Game Jam about a week ago. It?s a game jam that is organized at the Startup Campus in Pangyo Gyeonggi-do, South-Korea. I must say that the games that I saw at the gamejam were quite promising.
The games I liked the most were the games Miss Tsunami and the Awesome juice :
- Miss Tsunami is a game were you play The Demon Lord, who happens to be a cat. You are a master of tsunami?s and it?s your job to destroy the city of HaeWoonDae. It was super satisfying to see the wave hit as many buildings as possible. I thought it was a nice touch that The Demon Lord was a cat, because we all know that catz = ev0l.
- Awesome juice is an game that is really funny. Let's create and sell as much fruit juice as possible in a set period of time, and receive good reviews.
When your in Korea, definitely check out the indie scene here. It?s quite amazing and the people are friendly too!
