Why can't I see my text box when I'm typing in messaging?

I can't see my text box when I'm typing in messaging

I can see the text box, but there is a blue box with a timer in it that is right on top of my text box therefore I can't see what I have typed into the text box

Try using the native Messages app. If that's is what you're using, I suggest you restore your device and set it up as new.
