Unlimited Watch face backgrounds coming..

Well sort of. With WatchOS 2.0 you can use your own images. I am reminded of the seemingly infinite number of watch faces on Pebble 'app store'. The way Apple is going to offer it, you can make your own backgrounds.

I should make a watch preview for my app.

Here is a hypothetical of what a face might look like in 2.0 with your own background.

Wow. The watch face with your own image works great. You can pan and zoom without the full height restriction as on the phone. So wish the watch team would talk to the phone team and explain how this should work. Very nice panning and zooming the background without restriction.

I take that back a bit. For certain aspect/size images, the same kind of zoom restriction exists.
