Well it only took a week for Apple to drop beta 5, downloading it now. Will report anything new I can find.

Think it is out ahead of schedule (well, anticipated schedule) because 10.5.7 is on its way?

Found this in the SDK read me

    Known Issues
A small set of AT&T customers may experience data services that stop working
after installing iPhone OS 3.0 beta 5 on a device. If you experience this problem
with a device that worked properly before the beta 5 update, please call the
developer support line at 1-800-633-2152 for help restoring data services.

I've loaded it, and am syncing now. For the last two betas I have read people are updating (rather than restoreing to the new betas) and no issues. I tried it this time with the new prerelease iTunes and all my music and most of my apps got pushed into the "other" category. Hopefully a sync will work that out.

*edit* Sync didn't work. Will most likely have to restore.

AT&T was probably pissed about all the devs calling to get MMS enabled. :-(

    Have others updated iTunes too?

Also...the Cellular Data Network settings are back in the General>Network screen and MMS is still there.

That's another thing...I cannot update my carrier settings any more. shift + update will only recognize ipsw files for me now, when I click the dropdown all I get is the ipsw option, no option for ipcc.

Can you downgrade to the previous iTunes beta? It is the new iTunes, not the new iPhone software the disallows the carrier file changing.
