Howdy there are 3 of us (Mom, Dad, Adult daughter) are going to be spending 3 days sight seeing around Vancouver BC before getting on a 3 night Cruise back to the USA and we want to be connected.

Our phones are currently iPhone 6, 6, 6+ and currently on a Verizon Shared plan. We will also be traveling with an iPad 2, iPad Mini Retina and an iPad Air.

Would like to see what our options are to stay connected. As a minimum, 1 phone with data only for Maps, Yelp, email, etc, to an all out 6 devices with Voice/Data/Text. We will have WIFI back at the hotel at night but again would be nice to have some data when we are away from the hotel.

What are some good, inexpensive options? Prices?

Would like to have this set up and ready to go before we get to YVR if possible.

Best option I think would be to able to have all 3 iPhones on pre-paid data plans with enough data for casual use over 3 days.

I did some online searching about plans, etc, but still a little confused and would like some friendly first hand experience. Haven't really done much international connectivity short of just using WIFI connections.

Also, we will be staying at the Pacific Gateway Hotel near YVR for the 3 nights before our cruise.
Thanks in advance.

In looking at Verizon's ADD Canada plan it would be:

$10/mo to add 100MB of data with overage $10/100MB
or
$15/mo to add 100MB of data with overage $10/100MB, plus 100 msg Send(unl Rcv) with $0.10/Send msg overage, plus 100 Min Voice with $0.10/min overage
or
$25/mo to add 1GB of data with overage $10/100MB(they didn't say), plus 500 msg Send and 500 Min Voice

And I'm guessing these are PER LINE/PHONE charges so if we all three want data only access it would be $10+$10+$10.

What to do....What to do....

3 days in Canada probably isn't worth going with a prepaid local provider service on all your devices...

International Travel | Verizon Wireless -- and yes, the fee would be per device... the $25 for 500 minutes, 500 sent texts and unlimited received texts, 1 GB monthly Allowance data looks pretty good...
