Depending on the area in those states it has good coverage. No you can not bring a Verizon iPhone. They will only activate their own phones.

Ive had Sprint in NYC for 17 years. Have experienced no problems at all. Only 3 dropped calls.

I have Sprint in SE PA (York County) and in many places its much better than VZW. One reason I switched from VZW to Sprint last fall was Sprint had better reception than VZW at my house. I kept dropping calls even in the middle of VZW's red area - no problems with Sprint. I have no regrets.

Born and raised New Yorker who had Verizon and switched to Sprint. I haven't regretted it yet. I have better coverage and less congestion than Verizon. I would recommend if your in the NYC area.

Sprint may be good in NYC but from what I'm know, once you come into the more suburban parts of NJ and especially PA, it's not very pretty.
