I have a black iPhone and my brother has the white iPhone both activated under the same account, how would we go about switching them? Do we have to go online and switch them on the Verizon website or do we have to go the store to have them give us new sims? Or do we just swap out the SIM cards and that's that? Thanks in advance!

If it's Verizon, you either have to call customer care, or do it through the website while logged in to your account. Calling from a phone that isn't the iPhone in question may be easier.

The SIM cards will still work though right? If its in the same account I just have to go online switch the devices through Verizon website and then swap the micro SIM cards after?

Yep, the Verizon SIMs are 99% for LTE. The other 1% is global roaming. And they don't need to be switched because the Verizon SIMs don't have account data on them.
