This past weekend, like many others, I upgraded from my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5. For specific reasons, I decided to ditch Verizon and go with AT&T while taking the hit from the etf from Verizon. My phone number was ported successfully and my Verizon account is now closed (tried logging into my Verizon account and it said it is disconnected). The only thing I am waiting for is my final bill which will include the etf. My question is, am I now able to sell my iPhone 4 without having to worry about the buyer coming back to me saying it had a bad ESN? I didn't sell it before hand since it was my only phone and I needed it until I had my new iPhone 5. Thanks for the help!

As long as you pay the etf fee and account is not past due ESN will be clear

In theory, the ESN should be clean now - but to be sure & safe, wait until that final bill is paid in full before reselling the iP4.

Only issue with that is that it was my intention to use what I make from the iPhone 4 to help cover the etf.

Easy call Verizon and ask them to check a ESN for you don't say your story just act like your the buyer of that phone they can tell you if it's clean or not
