    Does anyone know if Verizon will prorate the data plan if you activate it before the end of a pay period? and if so, how much

    Yes, if you activate and add a data plan in the middle of your billing cycle, they will pro rate the days left to the billing cycle for the data plan. In addition to the prorated amount, you will also be billed for a months data plan in advance also.

    As for how much it will be, you can estimate it. If you get the 2g's for 29.99mthly, that breaks down to approx a dollar a day over a 30 days billing cycle. You can figure out how many days you have left in the billing cycle, say it's 15, so that would amount out to $15 + tax/fees then your mths in advance of 29.99.

    These are just estimates I gave you, they could be more or less so don't hold me to the amounts you could also call Verizon and ask a rep to give you the pro rated amount also.
