Has anyone found a list of car makes and models that support CarPlay? I know that Apple's website shows a list of manufactures that support it, but not any specific year/models. Most of the manufactures websites I've looked at doesn't say either.

Since CarPlay is available by replacing the audio system with an aftermarket head unit, wouldn't it seem that the option would not be available by model, but by audio system option? Just like you (used to) have the basic option of "premium sound", CD player, or even (dating myself) AM or FM, should/would you not be able to pick your car model and for manufacturers that support CarPlay, simply pick a sound system choice that provides that option?
