Once again a conversation starter and remember, That is what we do here is create conversation. Personally I think it is impossible at this point to say what CarPlay would cost and if it is going to be an option or not. I think it will come 2 ways. It will come as a single option and part of a luxury package. What do you all think and would you go for it either way if you were in the market for a new car that has CarPlay in it?

I doubt you can put a cost to it as if you're buying something off of a shelf. To me, it's like a console display that features Apple's way of communicating and enjoying music within your vehicle.

The mockups are showing this unit being built into the cars dash as the many touch screen displays in current cars are now. It would be a matter of whether it is going to be standard, Optional and how much the way i read the original article on the Blog several weeks ago.

Nav upgrades going between one and two grand last I checked so I see it falling on the low end of that spectrum
