Does Apple Music match lower quality purchased I tunes songs

Hi serenity does Apple Music /iTunes Match match lower quality purchased iTunes songs to higher quality iTunes songs or does it just match songs ripped from cds etc and purchased songs are left as they are

If you purchased these songs from iTunes, you should be able to get the max quality (256kbps) version by redownloading it from the iTunes Store.

Thanks serenity if you don't re purchase them from the store I'll have the lower quality and these won't change automatically unless I repurchased them
