Yesterday’s weather report seems like a loooong time ago D . I know you’re just a 100 miles east-ish of me so I’m betting this is cold is as shocking to you (but just as happy to see the weather starting Wednesday on through into January).

No reason to go out today!

I have a friend in Chicago. She mentioned the Interesting and uncommon occurrence of snow when it’s extremely cold. It’s more like tiny ice crystals that wing whip and gather everywhere. Not a lot of snow but it’s a complete white out. She made sure the furnace worked, stocked up, and said no reason to go anywhere. BOL…

I lived in North Carolina for several years so waking up to 32° F this morning isn’t all that bad to me. I was in Iowa and Wisconsin a couple years back around this time and the temperature was in the single digits.

Still, as you know, it can get cold here, but it only lasts a few days before returning back to normal - 70°+.

It does get cold a handful of times a winter but as you rightly say it passes quick, usually just 2 or 3 days. But these last two nights is rarified cold for my Florida experience (I’m originally from NY but enough years in Florida has thinned my blood ).
