I'm sorry to say, but I don't think that it's possible to increase your iPhone's storage capacity.

The phone will use more battery for additional storage - simply because those storage chips need to be powered.
This said, it's going to be insignificant, because other things you do on your phone have a much greater impact on the battery, like the apps you're running.

I've also seen advertisements for flash drives. I've never used one with my devices, and wonder if that would be a viable option.
