Hello everyone,

As of today 10/09/2019 I have spent a silly amount of time watching videos, reading the forums, and essentially reading the entire internet...

Is there a way to do a simple automation that:

triggers at a set time
uses a set pre set message
sends the message to a pre set person

All without any human interaction? The automation that I made shows an alert on my iPhone and waits for me to click run.

Iphone 11promax
IOS 13.1.2
Using iMessages

>workflow on the shortcuts app is:
Create Personal Automation
click: Events > Time of day
click: Next > Add Action
click: Text > "this is a test message"
click "+"
Search and click "Send Message"
Click the person to send the message
Make sure "Show when run" is not green"

Any help?

I don't have an answer to your question but just wanted to share that I wish Apple offered Shortcuts workshops as part of their "Today At Apple" series. I think they'd be overwhelmed by the number of people wanting to learn about these.

Hopefully, someone will come along who does now how to write/create shortcuts!
