    I recently bought a 3.5mm splitter cable on amazon for my headphones. The headphones are fine, however the mic isn't. the mic only gets me this horrible static noise. so I tried on a different computer to see if it was just my computer. same deal with the headphones but the mic isn't picking up anything at all now. my headset works just fine when used on my phone or ps4. I know next to nothing when i comes to computers so i'm at a total loss here, any ideas as to how i can resolve this?

    Welcome to iMore! In regards to your question, have you contacted Amazon to see if you could exchange it for a new set? I'm guessing that the ones you got are either defective or just not that good. Keep us posted on how you do.
