It definitely depends on your needs. I have the 10.5 iPad Pro 2017, the 12.9 iPad Pro 2018, and the MacBook Pro 2013 Retina. They all serve their individual purposes, but I've been leaning towards my MacBook Pro as my daily driver lately. My brother is using the 12.9 iPad for his business. If you plan on doing any serious power using such as heavy photo or video editing, I would say go with the MacBook. Also, the upcoming iPadOS is going to make the iPad Pro very powerful. Just a thought!!!
