    Getting ready to finally upgrade my iPhone 6 to an XR. Really excited that iOS 12.4 includes a wireless migration tool. I just want a straight answer about whether or not it will transfer my music from my old phone to the new one.

    I have over 1400 songs on my phone, over 50% of them are CD rips from my old CD collection. It takes hours to upload this many songs using iTunes so I hope the migration tool will take care of this for me.

    If those songs are indeed on the device and are not associated with Music, iTunes Match or the is loud Music Library, I don’t see why they would “transfer” over using the migration tool you mentioned.
