virtual wifi hotspot for wifi only device

My grandfather is in a home and has eye problems. i would like to give him an Alexa but the wifi in his room requires username and password to log on to server. This not suitable for Alexa to connect as there is only accommodation for entering wifi password only. My ipad will be connected to room wifi... I will then need the ipad to have a hotspot so the Alexa can connect to it.

Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.

Unless the iPad is a cellular model, you're not going to be able to do what you're trying to do with it - at least not to my knowledge.
