I've recently updated my iphone X to IOS 12.3. However, after doing so, just about all of my messages were deleted from the imessage app. This has been very distressing, for I have many personal messages and memories saved in those chats. It is also confusing, for when I look up a specific text in the imessage search bar, sometimes an old text is detected. Has anyone experienced this issue and solved it? I've already tried restarting and hard restarting, turning on/off imessage, contacting apple, etc. And no, I cannot resort to an icloud backup in this case. Any help would be so appreciated!
