I am a beginner wanting to start sketching and illustrating. I am planning to buy an iPad and a pencil for the same. Key points:
    1. I want the device to be supportive of softwares and apps for designing.
    2. I don't want to see days when I am just out of space on my device. I would like to know what storage size I should choose for myself.

    Please post your preferences.

Any of the iPad Pro models should suffice, in my opinion, but if you haven’t already, you’ll have to determine which sketching/drawing app best suites your needs.

I agree with @Just_Me_D - any of the iPad Pro's would suit you. As far as space goes, I would get the highest amount you can afford. You might find this article by iMore's Lory Gil helpful:

#1 - Any of the latest iPads will support those apps

#2 - Get the largest (in size and storage) that you can afford.
