Can I get more information on the EFI boot proccess?

I can seem to use this guideline to boot into EFI and then spoof mac os into booting to windows. I want to be able to use my EGPU well with my Bootcamp OS. Plus, I was looking into other articles as well, but the process seems like it may need alterations because on new updates of the firmware.

Please help.

System Information:

Macbook Pro (2018): i9, vega 20, 32gb ram, 4tb SSD
eGPU (Razor Core X): Vega 64
