    My Mac has 1Tb and I only have 5gb left due to 80,000+ photos. I want to transfer approx 500gb onto something else and delete those pictures on the Mac. What do I transfer onto. I will still occasionally want to view the tranfered photos

    Hi there. Get yourself an external hard drive and back your photos up there. Here’s an example of one from Amazon:

    That's probably going to be your best, and lest expensive, option. I'm personally a Seagate fan and have several that I keep all my photos on (as I'm a photographer) and it works great. You also have an online option (there are several - Dropbox, Google Photos, etc) but you may end up having to pay a subscription depending on how much space you need.
