I recently bought a car in MI and live in IL, but will be moving to CO at the end of this week. The car dealership finally sent me the MSO title this week, but I’m hesitant on getting the car registered and plates in IL, as they will only mail everything to my current address. Since I’m moving so soon, would it be better to get a new license and register my car in CO right when I get there to not deal with all the hassle of the IL SOC/DMV not being able to forward everything to my new address in CO?
