Siri is randomly answering questions, even when I'm 5' away, never touched the iPhone, and wasn't even speaking loudly. What's up?

“Hey Siri” must be enabled in Settings > Siri & Search. If you’re not familiar with this feature, by saying “Hey Siri,” Siri will be activated.

It’s designed to filter out phrases that sound similar, but sometimes if something you say sounds VERY close, Siri will be triggered. This feature can be disabled if you don’t use it and you can still activate Siri using the phone itself.

All of the popular smart assistant services do that from time to time. They all either hears the trigger words or confuse something it heard with the trigger words.
