I am not receiving text. Alerts from one of my contacts. Don't know how to fix it.

Not receiving text alerts from one of my contacts. It seems to be just this one person. Text comes through fine on my iPad but not on iPhone 8.

Not receiving text alerts from one of my contacts. It seems to be just this one person. Text comes through fine on my iPad but not on iPhone 8.

If the person is in your contacts list on your iPhone, initiate the Contacts app, select the person’s contact info and then make sure that “None” is not selected as the text tone.

Also, make sure you don't have Do Not Disturb on for that person. If it's on, you will see a Crescent moon next to their profile pic in the messages list.

To turn it off, tap their name at the top, tap "info", then toggle off "hide alerts".
If this isn't it, you might try choosing a different alert tone for that person. Go to their contact, tap edit at the top right, then tap on alert tone, choose a new tone.
