Why won’t selected voicemail messages delete? iPhone 8P - iOS 12

So annoying!! Select voicemail messages to delete and delete repeatedly yet they keep coming back. I saw the suggestion about airplane mode, and IM SORRY, WTF - so beyond acceptable- get ur **** together apple - one click to delete should complete the task!!!!

Putting the phone in airplane mode,seems to be all that works.
I think there was a thread somewhere about this very issue.
And I was also getting the same thing on my 8 Plus.

I get numerous voicemail messages, but when I swipe to delete them, they do not return. In fact, I don’t recall ever having to put my iPhone in Airplane mode just to delete a vm.

I would check with your carrier sometimes could be a fault on their end .
