IPad and USB C Printing

Does anyone if or how I can print from my new (2018) 12.9 iPad Pro? I do not have a wireless printer near me but I do have an active Ethernet cable at my desk. Would a USB C to Ethernet adapter work? Thanks!

I can buy the adaptor but don’t want to spend the money if it isn’t going to work. Thanks.

I don’t think that would work, but I could be wrong. I don’t have a new iPad Pro to to test. My MacBook Pro can print directly to my printer via the USB-C to USB-2 B cable. Maybe your iPad Pro can do the same.
