How to disable Youtube mini-player on Safari 12?

Youtube has this new annoying feature where when I turn on full screen mode it has "Scroll for details" note below and the screen looks more like a theatre mode. This is beyond annoying and I don't know how to get rid of this feature!!

1. That is not the same as the mini-player.
2. There isn't an off switch, from what I can tell, to remove that option. It appears to be part of YouTube's full screen mode.
3. Contact Google Support and express your desire to have that feature removed.
