Is the Iphone X liquid proof?

I

iMore Question

I am the type of person who cares about his devices and fears if anything bad
happened to them. This morning, I was trying to pour my cereal on my bowl of
milk but my hands slipped and both and cereal were splattered everywhere
including my iPhone X. I wiped it with the cloth that I always use to clean my
phones with, but I'm still worried that my iPhone X might have suffered serious damage from this accident.

Should I be worried?

Seriously lol? Like even without the IP67 rating a splash of milk isn’t going to damage any phone unless it’s swimming in it. With an IP67 rating you’ll be fine.... even if it was accidentally dropped in milk. If it works why be worried. If it’s broken you’ll already notice and it happened so it’s not going to change

I’m sure you’re fine but it probably wouldn’t hurt to take some compressed air to the ports and openings just in case a little milk got in there.

I once dropped my iPhone 7 Plus in soup. Then I rinsed it off with running water, because I didn’t want it to be sticky.

In other words, don’t worry, your iPhone can have a lot more than a few drops of water or milk.

Advice: pour the cereal into the bowl first before pouring the milk.

Avoid getting liquids on Electronics.

There are limitations to resistance of liquids.

Your device should be fine in the situation you mentioned.
