how do I stop the caller id from rolling across the screen?

I have an iPhone 6S. Ever since the update, the caller ID movies across the screen like a news ticket. That makes it difficult -- no impossible -- to simply glance at the phone to see the caller/number. You have to watch long enough to get an entire name. Is there a setting that will take it back to static full display? Thanks everyone!

Go into the phone's Notifications Settings and then change the "Banner Style" to persistent or you can simply select the Reset All Settings option in the settings to reverse whatever it is you did.
