I’m in the market for a new macbook for college and I spec a 13inch 2018 macbook with i7, 16gb of ddr3 ram and 512 ssd, and it cost 2,500$.
Then I saw the 15inch 2018 top pre-spec model with the best i7, 16gb of ddr4 ram, dedicated 560x and a faster ssd for just 300$ more. Is it worth or is it too big for carrying around campus all day long?

It's bigger but not bad. Bigger issue would be where you use it. Will there be room on your desk for the 15"? I know my 15" is great for me but does get tight when I try to use it on a plane/train but the extra screen size is nice. If you need the specs, only choice is to go for it. It's a nice machine
