Amazon Echo Show

Hello - I have an Echo Show and the Echo Remote - the remote is paired to the Show but the microphone button on the remote doesn’t communicate with the Echo Show ??

The other controls on the remote work fine (volume, etc)

I’ve contacted Amazon, they sent a second remote but both remotes have the same issue, microphone button doesn’t work - what am I missing ?

Maybe a setting? Did you poke around in the settings on the show and also in the phone app?

I love my Show, but don't have the remote. Are you holding the button down while speaking into the mic, and giving it a moment to activate? Does the Show display change at all when you hold the mic button?
