Why can I not change my allowed content rating from clean to explicit?

Hi, I have an iphone 7 plus, version 11.3.1.

I am unable to listen to all my podcasts as some are rated as "Explicit".

In restrictions the option to change rating from clean to explicit is greyed out.

My country setting is United Kingdom.

Any advice?

How old are you? It may be that you’re underage and therefore the system doesn’t allow you to edit that restriction.

Go to http://appleid.apple.com and see if everything is in order there.

Are any restrictions enabled? If so, disable all restrictions and see if that makes a difference. Also try a reset of your device settings, possibly. Not the data and settings reset...just the settings.

Try Reset All Settings.

Go to Settings >General >Reset >Reset All Settings. This resets to default everything in Settings, including notifications, alerts, brightness, and clock settings like wake up alarms.
