I’ve noticed contact names disappear from texts on the watch thankfully I know how to fix this issue but just wondering why does it happen. Is it a bug etc

It’s a software bug. It seems to happen occasionally when the watch or paired iPhone is restarted.

Yes, it's happened to me several times. The Reset Sync Data feature in the Watch app seems to fix it.......for a while. :-)

Oh yes, I've left my share of feedback. Apple probably sees the feedback from me and things "Oh crap, what now?".
