My iPhone 6S has a spinning wheel continuously beside the wi-fi/LTE indicator in the status bar. Any ideas?

That's normally an indication that there is activity on the data connection. Something is uploading or downloading; OS update, iCloud backup, carrier network settings update, etc.

By the way, welcome to iMore.

Your cellular signal may be poor. It's either doing something as said above, or it's struggling with a bad cellular signal.

My iPad pro is the same way. No biggie.

It's a known bug (there's a huge thread about it over on the official Apple forums). If I leave it alone it will sit there spinning for days eating the battery. I have to go into Settings and reset my connection to make it stop. It'll go away for a few weeks, then come back.

I had posted over there about it and someone from Apple called me, so they do know about it. I posted about that conversation here: https://forums.imore.com/iphone/3974...ml#post3022935
