I know s9+ has bigger battery but iphone is better optimized. Also screen res much higher in Samsung burning power. Also oled vs lcd. Which would give me more hours constantly on streaming Netflix?

One would think the device with the larger capacity battery, but I can’t say for certain. I rarely stream video on my iPhone and I don’t have a Samsung S9 to test. Hopefully those who have both will offer their opinions soon.

Yes it is going to take a phone hobbiest who buys 3 or 4 phones a year to answer my question. My current phone has a 3200 mAh battery and I get about 5 hours SOT from full charge down to 10%. I have no idea what an iPhone 8+ gets for real SOT. Usually I am in Tapatalk or Twitter or CNN but I do also stream a lot of video from Netflix and Xfinity Go.

I love the red iphone 8+ but the tiny battery gives me pause.

In my experience I believe the S9+ will last a little longer when it comes to streaming. iPhones get much better standby time than Samsung phones, but Samsung phones tend to be a little better while in use for battery. I had the S8+, and while battery trickled in use it got terrible standby compared to my iPhones.
