    iphone maps is relatively outdated compared to google maps, so I want to show google maps icon on the screen of carplay to be used insted of iphone maps

    Unless Google comes with CarPlay support, you’re out of luck.

    Yeah, that is currently not possible. You can only use the apps that Apple has made available in CarPlay.
