    Why is it that all the files on my icloud are still taking up space on my hard disk as though it's mirrored everything?

    Hello, and welcome to iMore!

    Are you talking about Desktop and Document syncing? If so, you should be able to follow this article to disable that feature. It shows how to enable it, but you should be able to disable it since it shows where the options are; https://www.imore.com/how-save-your-...e-macos-sierra
