Why does iCloud still have my deleted back ups from years ago?

Basically my boyfriend has been able to find information on my phone that is completely unknown to me as it's from past back ups that have been deleted years ago, how is he finding all this stuff and why don't I have access to it myself?

Either he knows the password to your iCloud account, or the two of you share (or previously shared) one iCloud account.

If what you’re stating is actually true then more than likely he restored a backup of your device, especially if you made the backup video a iTunes and he has access to the computer you used. Of course, I can’t say that with certainty.
