We have acquired a new used MacBook Pro.
I was able to install the Sierra High OS from a download from a different mac.

However, I am unable to download anything from the Apple Mac store with my own Apple Id. The Apple id of my coworker worked though.

I tried 2 factor authoritican, I looked if there was an unverified email I didn't click.
I can see the new Mac from my Apple id.

One curious thing... I have a Mac from a cloud service I used. Is that problematic?

The Apple store says the operation has failed and that my Apple id is disabled. If I log in to my Apple id via the browser, it doesn't say anything about being disabled.

Any idea why my Apple id wouldn't work on a Mac app store while my coworker's Apple id works on the same computer?

I'd start with Apple support to make sure your account hasn't been unofficially accessed:
