Iris scanning vs Face ID

Why doesn’t Apple use iris scanning instead of Face ID? It seems like it would be much more secure. Twins can’t fool iris scanning.

Iris scanning isn’t necessarily “more secure” than Face ID, not yet anyway. Nonetheless, I’m sure Apple opted for biometric scanning for a reason.

I own both the S9+ and the iPhone X and the FaceID works with my prescription glasses while the iris scanning does not work with my glasses. Thankfully the S9+ has a fingerprint sensor which works great.

But all in all, I prefer FaceID. It works with prescription eye glasses.

I have a S9+, and iris scanning is flawless with my glasses.
