Home page dock?

[iMore Question]

I don't know what it is called (dock?) but my new ipad puts recently used apps there on the home screen. I prefer to lock in a few favorites here instead of a constantly changing selection. Is this pissible?

Go to Settings > General > Multitasking & Dock; disable Show Suggested and Recent Apps.

I turned that off as well... drove me nuts.
