Are third party iPhone charging cords safe for your iPhone or do you suggest just sticking with Apple

I prefer to stick with OEM cables and always use the same cable for the same device

There are third party cables that are of good quality and conform to apples standards

I think that as long as they are "Apple MFi Certified", third-party charging cords are ok. I have used ones by Anker, and others from Amazon, all of which are Apple MFi Certified, and they work fine.

Years ago, we purchased some really cheap ones from a flea market, and they were horrible! Luckily, they didn't damage our phones.

What about ones that you buy at local 7-Eleven stores

Those are sub par and your device will likely warn you if they even work at all

Yes You can use them,Anker,Aukey whatever, they'll be fine. Until recently it was the Apple cables that were suspect ! but looking at the most recent one it seems to be better than they were ?

With the exception of the short Apple cables that come with the phones, I have always used 3rd party cables. Using a 10' Mfi certified Anker now. Never any issues with any I've used. I do always use the Apple charger cubes. Be sure any 3rd party cables are Mfi certified lightning cables.

Your device either won’t charge or charge very slowly.
In my honest opinion a faulty cable would rather make your charger malfunction instead of the iPhone.

Wife and I use Sundix cables from Amazon. I bought two three packs, in different colors, one pack for her, and one pack for me. Each came with a 3,6, & 10 foot nylon wound cable, all six cables still work.

I have found that the Apple cable’s insulation splits at the connector and eventually breaks. So I have several Apple boxes with brand new cables in them.

I only use Apple chargers, except when I use the USB ports in my car or workstation.

Don't forget the Apple cables that come with the phones are included in the Warranty. I had one tear up in 4 month's use after I got my 6s Plus. They replaced it. The replacement was better made and lasted a year.

I just ordered these and based on all the positive reviews, they seem to be very good.

Really as long as the cable is MFi certified you should be fine. I generally use OEM cables, but I do have a few MFi ones as well.

I would not use anything from the dollar bin at a has station or 7-11 unless you are in a bind and there is nothing else. Regardless I would not use those long term

They're fine for charging. But always use the charging cord that came with your device for doing backups and restores with iTunes.

Lol...if you're worried, I would think that your question is answered. I wouldn't use anything from a gas station unless I was in an emergency. Spend the extra few bucks and get one either from Apple or a carrier store.
