I am switching from a Samsung Galaxy s6 to an iPhone X and want to transfer my SMS and MMS to the new phone.

should be easy? not so much, every method I have tried seems to have one problem or another.

I first tried the Apple app, "move to iOS" which is designed for this purpose. it transferred my messages but added an extra phone number to each of the group messages. I can't figure out how to remove this extra number (it's actually my phone number).

I tried using [redacted], each did not work.

    HELP

What extra phone number? I mean, is it a phone number that you don't recognize? Either way, the process did its job minus the additional phone number. Hopefully, those who have used a Samsung Galaxy S6 and have migrated over to the iPhone will reply soon.

If the number is your number, it didn't add an extra number, you are part of the group chat so of course your number would be in there
