On an Iphone would it call 811 if you were to dial it in the form 8++11?

With two ++ in between the numbers instead of just 811?I would just like to know the function of the + character

The + character is typically used as a prefix when dialing international numbers. I don’t think it’s used for anything else in the dialer.
