If you follow the history you can say it did not disappear as Eudora did via Mozilla and the support plus independence Firefox has.

Sure I always figured out what html code meant but I don't want to go back to such low function across the Internet. Mobile technology is so important that I appreciate modern browsers, responsive design and less dependency on specific apps or mobile sites.

For me any missing Netscape is just some nostalgia.

That may be so, but there’s no mistaking the importance that Netscape played in the lives of those of us who issued it faithfully.
